ABOUT
My name is Jordan Hornblow.
I'm a post graduate of Massey University in Wellington, with a Bachelor of Creative Media Production. I majored in Advanced Game Production. I am relatively fluent in all forms of technology and have experience in several roles working to develop a vast range of Game, Video and Animated content.
GAME DESIGN
A few projects I have worked on either in the Unreal or Unity engine.
SWIBO - COLLAB FULLTILT
In my final year of University a group of 9 of us did a collaboration with a game company in Wellington called SWIBO. We produced this game for them, which we called FULLTILT.

UNREAL - VEHICLE UI
In my second to last year of Advanced Game Design we focused on self-directed study. I chose to pursue my interest in AI (artificial intelligence). The video provides a good demonstration of what I came up with.

ANIMATION
A few projects I have worked on either in Maya or OpenToonz
SCARE - MAYA
This scene was created in Maya in which ALL the assets and characters were made and rigged. This scene demonstrates all of those components working in colmination.


PLASMATIC - OPENTOONZ
Opentoonz is a frame-by-frame animator which you need to draw each frame so it required a lot of patients. I was tasked with making a plasmatic animation which is a fluid animation of your animation.
STEWART - MAYA
One of the projects I was tasked with in animation was to create a model which displays all of the 12 principals of a good animation.

CREATIVE CODING
A few projects I have worked on either in Unity, Processing, Brackets and Three.JS

CHINESE DRAGONS - UNITY
This demonstrates a creative way of using code in Unity to make a pleasing animation. I used some cubes with a movement script as well as a lighting and rotate script to create the desired affect.

SNAKE - PROCESSING
I wanted to test my skills at making an all time classic. So I went about coding a game of snake from scratch in Processing. The end result was a hit in the class and lead to a battle for the highest score.

SLINKY - THREE.JS
This was my first experience with making code 'art'. I find it is still one of my most aesthetically pleasing pieces to look at and meant IÂ could just have fun with colour and patterns in code.

CONNECT THREE - UNITY
This was a Connect Three game that IÂ made to practice my coding abilities post University. I aimed for a minimalistic yet cute approach with a simple yet striking colour pallet. The game plays well and also increases difficulty with each level.

FILM/ACTING
A couple film projects I've been apart of.

GODFATHER MOCKUMENTARY
I took part in an afternoon film project. The gist is that a team of 5 of us tried to recreate a scene from the godfather in an afternoon and this is basically how it went;
TEAM POTATO
This was a commercial I was apart of to help get sedentary Wellingtonion's off their seat and active again. I directed and edited this myself.
